Description
Dog Breed: Boston Terrier / Beagle / Mixed (short coat). Meet Joanie! This adorable 6 month old Boston Terrier/Beagle mix came to us through a breeder release and is ready to find her forever family! Joanie is playful, active, curious, and full of all the puppy energy you would expect. Toys, chews, tug of war, shoes…. All are so much fun! She’s recently learned that she has a voice and isn’t afraid to use it. Joanie is submissive and lets others lead. She’s learning quickly. She doesn’t mind walking on a leash, listens well for a puppy, and is inquisitive about everything around her. She’s learning commands and figuring out how the world works. She has learned her place with the small dogs in her foster home and is great with them. Cats have also taught her a lesson or two, so she approaches them with a little more caution now. Joanie is very sweet and affectionate. She loves to love. She gives kisses, enjoys getting pets and kisses in return, and is happy to sit or lay next to her people or curl up on their feet. And don’t let her fool you, she gives some pretty great hugs too. Joanie is still working on potty training and will need a family willing to continue her puppy training. She sleeps nicely in her crate. With her curious personality, sweet heart, and those big beautiful eyes, Joanie is ready to find her people. She is spayed, fully vetted and vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to meet you! Her adoption donation is $500. Breed overview
Overview:
The Boglen Terrier is a charming designer breed, a delightful cross between the amiable Beagle and the spirited Boston Terrier. Originating from the desire to blend the best qualities of both parent breeds, Boglen Terriers typically inherit a compact, muscular build with a short, smooth coat that can display a variety of colors and patterns, often reflecting their Boston Terrier heritage with brindle, black, or seal with white markings, or the tri-color common in Beagles. Their temperament is generally described as friendly, affectionate, and energetic, making them wonderful companions for active families. They adapt well to both houses and apartment living, provided they receive regular exercise and mental stimulation to prevent boredom. While generally healthy, potential owners should be aware of breed-specific health concerns from both parent lines, such as eye conditions, patellar luxation, and potential for brachycephalic airway syndrome in some individuals. With proper training and socialization, the Boglen Terrier is a loyal and entertaining addition to most households.
