Here is everything we can share about Milly and updated as of 8/29/26 Milly is fully vaccinated, spayed, chipped, etc. Milly is my personal foster dog and such a sweet thing. She is NOT perfect though. First the bad. She has not been socialized by me towards people as much so she is not as loving/friendly as she was when she first arrived here at casa de arwob in july. She is a bit aloof at first but once she knows you she is a total love bug and not a runner, meaning, she does off leash walking with you very nicely. She has no interest in running out the home. She is also not bitting or yappy towards people she is just insecure and cautious. Once you use food or positive praise she will trust and become a friend, once you have had her under your care for a couple of days she will adore you and be a fantastic house companion and little buddy in crime ei excellent for outtings and car drives. Secondly, she loves her dog pack (bff are Carmi, Happy, pickles and sophie) meeting new dogs is scary. It always has been since her arrival at ARWOB. It took her days to trust the dogs around her and not try to run away when they would approach her, it took her also a couple of days. Now, she is their shadow. She adores her dog crew. If you have resident dogs the meet and greet will likely not go well or at least do NOT expect fireworks and choose to adopt a dog because the first meet was a hit, it will not. She is very dog friendly but her first instinct when approached or meeting new dogs is to ignore them. The 2 types of adopters who are best matched for Milly (so we do not waste your time or ours) the one who will keep socializing her with dogs and people ei daily during walks, etc and the one who will enroll in puppy training with a trainer to properly be guided to improve her socialization with the help of a trainer instead of you researching on your own. We say this so we can have Milly grow up to be a well rounded adult who can interact and enjoy both dogs/people and her adopters enjoy a great life with her. The positive, after fostering thousands of dogs, I can say she is pretty great. Potty, crate and house trained. A little dog who is funny, loving, aims to please her humans and have fun with her dog friends. She does great with the smalls or large doggos. Alpha personality dogs seem to be intrigued by her and accept her because she will not be in their personal bubble for days, giving the dog time to adjust to her and she to the other dogs. Dogs who will be all up in her bubble she will be scared at the beginning but once she knows they are friends (days) she is a great dog friend sharing toys, playing fetch, wresttling around, etc. She is a low rider dog BUT she has stamina, walking couple of miles is no problem, hiking trails perfect and jumping? no problem! she is a pro in/out the truck. She is ok with cats, same deal as the dogs, scared when they approach her, if they leave her alone she leaves them alone so a great match for a home with cats who need space and time to adjust to dogs instead of a happy outgoing dog who will be in their space. Like all terriers, she will hoard toys and is adorable to see how happy toys make her. Interestede in Milly? great! We can sure use a foster for her to socialize her with people/dogs (that are not part of her crew) to help her find a forever home. If you'd like to ONLY foster, please submit a foster application online If you'd like to adopt or foster with intent to adopt please submit the adoption application. Got questions and want to chat with me before submit an application or meet her at our local park for a quick meet before submit an application? we are game. Just text me at 619 977 3593 to schedule a call and we can also schedule a meet in the 92111 (do know adoptions or foster we will request applications, virtual home checks and written landlord approval or proof of home ownership in order to approve any applications - if these are an issue, we can't move fwd) If you would like to meet one of our animals, PLEASE fill out an adoption application.
