Meet Whizzy! Whizzy is an almost two-year-old Shih Tzu with a joyous personality and an enthusiasm for everything life has to offer. Whether he is exploring somewhere new, shopping with his foster, playing with toys, or cuddling with his people, Whizzy is happy to be included. This little Whizz Kid came to us severely matted and had to be shaved down to remove the painful mats and treat his irritated skin. Now that he is comfortable, his happy personality is shining through. Whizzy also has only one eye, but it does not bother or slow him down at all. He loves other dogs and is always excited to play, but he also reads their signals well. He enjoys regular walks, meeting new people, and experiencing new places. His leash manners are still a work in progress, and he will benefit from an adopter who will continue helping him practice. Whizzy is nearly house trained and learning his foster home’s routine. He sleeps quietly through the night in a crate in his foster’s bedroom. He is also an excellent passenger who loves going for rides in the car. This cheerful little guy has a medium-to-high energy level and enjoys playing fetch, chewing on toys, and relaxing with a comfortable blanket or bed. He seeks plenty of attention, follows his person around, and loves showing affection through cuddles and snuggles. Whizzy could be happy with a single person or a larger family. His ideal home will give him plenty of love, companionship, new experiences, continued guidance, and consistent grooming to keep his coat healthy and comfortable.
