Meet Zoey!
Zoey is a gentle, calm one-year-old who would happily spend the afternoon curled up on the couch beside her person. She loves attention, even if it’s just someone talking to her, and her favorite way to show affection is a good snuggle.
She walks beautifully on leash and enjoys exploring new places at an easy pace. At home, she gets along peacefully with her foster family’s dog and loves relaxing in her crate. She knows “sit” and “come,” enjoys chew toys, and is nearly house trained.
Zoey can take a little time to settle into new situations, and sudden loud noises may startle her. Once she feels comfortable, her sweet personality shines. She’s usually quiet and low energy, though she’ll greet her people with an enthusiastic burst of excitement when they come home.
Zoey would love a home where she can enjoy a calm routine, regular walks, and plenty of time close to her people. If you’re looking for a softhearted companion who’s happiest by your side, Zoey may be your girl.

PLEASE READ:
• If a dog or puppy is listed, they are currently available for adoption. However, they may already be pending an adoption, and their profile may not yet reflect this.
• All information is accurate to the best of our knowledge as of the posting date.
• Unless explicitly stated, Sandy Paws Rescue does not guarantee the breed of any dog. Breeds listed are educated guesses made by shelter staff, volunteers, or veterinarians. Many of our dogs are mixed breeds, often with pit bull-type genetics, resulting in a wide variety of physical traits and temperaments.
Our dogs come from various situations, such as kill shelters, owner surrenders, or as strays. It is likely both parents were mixed breeds as well.
Sandy Paws Rescue does not have a public shelter in Massachusetts. Our dogs reside in private foster homes or boarding kennels in the South until adopted. Many dogs are spoken for prior to transport or release from state-mandated isolation.
