Gator - Labrador Retriever-Unknown Mix Male Dog For Adoption in Canton, Connecticut, USA

Dog Breed: Labrador Retriever / Terrier / Mixed.

Later Gator, not a chance! Despite his fierce sounding name, the only thing this little guy is guilty of is chomping up all the love in the room. Gator was previously cared for by a loving family, but due to a change in circumstances, he is now looking for a permanent, lifetime home of his own. With his striking grey coat and classic puppy eyes, Gator is a total showstopper. Gator is a 4-month-old Labrador Retriever mix. Gator currently weighs 19 pounds and is estimated to be a medium-size dog once fully grown, weighing anywhere up to 60 pounds. Gator has the classic, joyful energy of a healthy puppy. He loves to zoom around, play with toys, and burn off steam, but once he plays hard, he crashes hard into a deep, peaceful nap to recharge his batteries for the next adventure. Gator loves to play with other dogs and enjoys being with children, making him a great fit for a fun and lively household. Gator has not been introduced to cats, so it is unknown how he will be with them. Gator is a smart young pup, but like all babies, he is a work in progress. However, progress has been made with his winning achievements of learning his house, crate and leash training. Although Gator is housetrained, it is important to remember that accidents can occur while adjusting to a new home environment. Adopting a puppy is an incredibly rewarding adventure, but it also comes with big responsibilities. Pups like Gator require plenty of patience, structured routine, time for socialization, and consistent positive reinforcement training. He will also need lots of physical exercise and mental stimulation to keep his sharp mind out of puppy mischief! Gator may be a little bundle of energy right now, but he has an even bigger heart. If you have room in your life for a few puppy zoomies and a lot of warm, sleepy cuddles, Gator is ready to dive headfirst into your family and stay forever! * Please keep in mind when considering adoption, dogs thrive on structure and routine. They adjust significantly better when their owners are committed to providing consistency and stability. The adoption fee for Gator is $500. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees.
