Description

Dog Breed: German Shepherd Dog / Beagle / Mixed (medium coat). Monroe is a 6 month old male Beagle x GSD x Border Collie mix who is ready to find a wonderful home. He currently weighs in at approximately 19 pounds, and we believe he will be around 30 pounds full grown. Monroe is probably the most cautious of his litter, but by no means unfriendly or stand offish. He is a lover and wants to be as close to you as possible. He was rescued with his mama and his four siblings, and never skipped a beat in trusting completely the humans who got him off of the street. He is all sweetness and squishy affection. He will need a patient home that doesn't mind a pup who is a little uncertain at times. He would probably do well with other dogs and respectful kids. Cats are an unknown but it is possible he can easily learn to live with them. Since he is 6 months old, Monroe will be quicker than a baby puppy at learning the ropes of living with a family. Longer attention span, don't you know. He will need house trained, crate trained, obedience trained and socialized. Since we can assume these babies never had anyone who really cared about them, we can also assume they haven't been exposed to a ton of things - that is where you come in as his new family!
