Cohen - Dachshund-Unknown Mix Male Dog For Adoption in Bristol, Connecticut, USA

Dog Breed: Black Labrador Retriever / Dachshund / Mixed (short coat).

Meet Cohen: From Highway Survivor to Happy-Go-Lucky Puppy! Cohen's story could have ended very differently. This sweet boy was found running along a busy highway in Mississippi, scared and unsure of the world around him. A dedicated volunteer began feeding him, but every time she got close, Cohen would run away. Determined to help him, she set up a trap with some irresistible chicken, and within just a couple of hours, this little guy was finally safe. At first, Cohen was frightened and uncertain, but it didn't take long for his true personality to shine through. Once he realized he was safe and loved, he absolutely blossomed into the happiest, silliest, most lovable puppy around! Today, Cohen is a playful, energetic boy who loves to bounce, pounce, and zoom around with his doggy friends. He has never met a toy he didn't like and can often be found proudly carrying one around or inventing his own puppy games. If there's a fenced yard involved, even better! Cohen loves having room to run, play, and let his goofy personality shine. One of Cohen's favorite things in the world is people. This affectionate little minion craves attention and isn't shy about asking for it! He'll happily jump up to say hello and make sure you're aware that he could use a few extra pets and cuddles. Because of his enthusiastic puppy manners, we'd recommend a home with older children who can appreciate his happy, bouncy nature. Cohen is dreaming of a family that will welcome him inside, include him in everyday life, and show him what it truly means to be a beloved family member. He wants to experience cozy evenings on the couch, weekend adventures, and all the little moments that make a house feel like home. This smart boy would also love to attend puppy training classes with his new family. Not only would he enjoy spending the time with his people, but he's eager to learn his commands and become the very best boy he can be. With his love of attention and desire to please, he's sure to be a star student! Cohen has already overcome so much in his young life. Now all he needs is his forever family to help him write the next chapter, one filled with love, fun, toys, and endless cuddles. Don't miss out on this adorable little rascal with a heart of gold.
