Description
Dog Breed: Corgi / Terrier / Mixed. Meet Paskal, a 1-year-and-7-month-old Corgi mix searching for a new beginning. After his beloved owner passed away, Paskal suddenly found himself without the person and home he knew. Despite this heartbreaking change—and learning that he is heartworm positive—he continues to greet life with a joyful spirit and a wagging tail. Paskal absolutely loves people and is always excited to make a new friend. Walks are one of his favorite activities, although he is still working on his leash manners and can be a strong puller when his enthusiasm takes over. This sweet young boy has been through so much, but his happiness continues to shine. Paskal deserves a loving home where he can heal, feel safe, and once again experience the comfort of belonging to someone. Could you be the second chance he’s waiting for?~~If you are interested in this animal, you can complete the questionnaire found on the available pets page of our website hbpr. Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
