Dog Breed: Yorkshire Terrier Yorkie / Mixed (medium coat). Adoption Fee: 450.00. All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston. Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system. To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters. Our adoption fee varies by dog. We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Zelle, or cash only. donateyorkierescuehouston or, if you prefer: our fundraising platform, Zeffy Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only. A FTA contract is required. This puppy is available FOSTER-TO-ADOPT only as he has not yet been neutered. Puppy Adoption Requirement: Because this puppy is currently too young/small to be altered, 50% of the adoption fee is due at the time of placement. Once the puppy reaches the appropriate age and weight, the adopter is required to present the puppy to our designated veterinarian for spay/neuter surgery. The remaining 50% of the adoption fee must be paid in full before the puppy is picked up following surgery. Completion of the scheduled spay/neuter is a condition of the adoption. Meet Duke! Duke is one of Cookie’s handsome little puppies, sporting beautiful black-and-tan coloring, expressive eyes, and some seriously impressive little ears that appear to have minds of their own. Duke is still at the beginning of his journey. He is growing, playing, exploring, learning, and experiencing new things every day. His adult personality is still developing, making continued positive socialization and training especially important. Duke’s forever family should be ready for everything that comes with puppyhood — house-training, supervision, puppy mischief, basic manners, socialization, and plenty of patience. He needs someone who understands that adopting a puppy means making a commitment not only to the adorable baby standing in front of you today, but also to the adult and senior dog he will eventually become. If you are looking for a little guy to grow into your best friend, sidekick, cuddle buddy, and professional household supervisor, Duke is accepting applications. Yorkie Rescue Houston provides the rescue support — you provide the safe place and the cuddles. When he is old enough, you present him to our vet for neuter surgery and only then, do we finalize the adoption. PUPPY NOTE: Puppies are adorable, but they are also a commitment. They require house-training, continued socialization, supervision, training, appropriate exercise, and patience while they learn how to become great family members.
