Description
Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed. Meet Harry! He is a good traveler. Settles and doesn't make a peep. He isn't a fan of his crate but has learned to go in and doesn't fuss. He is starting to play with toys. He gets along with my small dog, but they haven't played together, yet. He is warry of her and hasn't recognized her "wants to play" growl. He has showed me he can stand on his back legs and spin around. Don't know if he has been taught this. Seems strange that he wasn't taught sit. He is learning sit and out (of the kitchen). He goes to the back door and sits when he wants to go outside. He is neutered, dewormed, microchipped, current with all vaccines (as appropriate for his age) and on flea and heartworm prevention. Harry is currently being fostered in South Carolina. ADOPT HARRY!! .LuckyPupRescueSC The adoption fee is $375.00 and we require a vet check and home visit.

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
