Description
Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed. Meet Gigi! Gigi is a 4-month-old Terrier mix who is as sweet as they come! This little girl is surprisingly calm and gentle for a puppy, making her an absolute joy to have around. Gigi sleeps through the night, gets along wonderfully with other dogs, and is doing great with her pee-pee pads. She isn’t fully potty trained yet because she’s not old enough to safely go outside, but she’s already showing us what a smart little girl she is! Gigi is looking for a loving forever home where she can grow, learn, and become the best little companion she can be. Could Gigi be the perfect addition to your family? Fill out an adoption application using the link in our bio. Gigi can’t wait to meet you! Interested in adopting this pet? Please contact us at questionsawishforanimals for more info.

Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
