PATCHES - American Pit Bull Terrier-Unknown Mix Female Dog For Adoption in Placerville, California, USA

Dog Breed: American Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (medium coat).

Meet Patches Patches is an approximately 8-month-old Pitbull mix who is super sweet, friendly, enthusiastic, and full of that classic young-dog energy. She is a happy, playful girl who is ready to find a family that can finally give her the outlet she needs. Patches is definitely a puppy, so she will need continued training, structure, exercise, and plenty of opportunities to run and play. She loves to zoom around, explore, and have fun, and she absolutely loves playing with other dogs. She tends to do best with neutral, easygoing dogs and would likely be happiest with a male dog who enjoys playing. Patches previously lived with a cat. She would seek the cat out because she was curious and wanted to play, but she did not hurt the cat or show concerning prey drive. She was simply fascinated by her feline roommate and wanted to interact. Sloe introductions are a must. She is also well behaved in the car, which is a great start for a girl who is going to make a wonderful adventure companion. Unfortunately, Patches found herself in a home with an elderly woman, and her youthful energy simply wasn’t a good match for that lifestyle. She isn’t a bad dog—she’s a young, energetic dog who wasn’t getting the outlet she needed. Because of her enthusiasm and exuberance, she would probably not be the best fit for a home with very young children or elderly family members who could easily be knocked over by an excited puppy. Older kids who enjoy running, playing, and being active with a dog could be a wonderful match. Patches is curious, eager, incredibly cute, and genuinely sweet. She has so much to offer the right family. Treat Patches well, give her the exercise, training, attention, and adventure she has been missing, and she’ll treat you well right back. Patches doesn’t need to become a different dog. She just needs someone to give her the opportunity to be the dog she was always meant to be.
