Description
Dog Breed: Spaniel / Poodle (Standard) / Mixed. Meet gorgeous ATTIE! Attie is a 5 year old, 40lb Poodle/Spaniel mix, and the perfect medium sized girl with a charming personality! We committed to rescuing Attie from Puerto Rico earlier this summer, but shortly afterward, she was diagnosed with heartworm. She needed to remain there while she completed treatment before she could safely board her freedom flight. We’re so happy to share she has finished her treatment, is heartworm free and is arriving on her freedom flight! Attie ended up at the shelter in Puerto Rico after both of her owners passed away within just a few months of each other. She is affectionate, playful, good with children and other dogs, and even loves bath time! A volunteer groomer said Attie was an absolute love and incredibly tolerant throughout her grooming last week as she prepares for her flight to NYC. She does like to chase chickens, so she would not be a good match for a home with cats or other small animals. Attie is healthy, vetted, spayed, and ready to begin her next chapter, but now she needs a foster to help her get there! Can you help make sure Attie’s freedom flight ends with a loving home?
