Meet Scooter! Scooter is new to Barktown from our shelter partner. Scooter is young and has a lot of energy! He has some nasty wounds the vet determined to be burns, but he is healing nicely+ He is sweetest boy! He wants to be with you all the time and is vocal about what he wants. At just 30 lbs, he is full grown, which is a good medium size dog! He is great with dogs, but we have not tested him with cats If you want to make Scooter a part of your family, fill out an application at .barktownrescue/adopt Scooter's adoption fee is $175 The shelter software system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of our dogs we are only guessing at the dog's predominant breed or breed mix. We strongly encourage you to select your new pet by looking at each dog's individual personality and pet qualities rather than relying on a breed label that is only our best guess. Our adoption fees vary from $150 and up. All of our dogs are up to date on vaccines, heart worm preventives, and flea/tick medication, and will be spayed/neutered prior to adoption.
