Meet Roger! Roger is an approximately 4 year old male Shetland Sheepdog mix who was found as a stray off Blackland Road in Rockwall County on September 16, 2026. Sadly, no one came forward to reclaim him, and he is now available for adoption! Roger is new to our crew, so we are still getting to know his personality and what type of home would be the best fit for him. Stay tuned for updates as we learn more about this handsome boy! Since Roger has just become available for adoption, he has not yet been tested with other dogs. If you have another dog in your home, a dog to dog meet and greet will be required prior to adoption to help ensure a good match. Roger is scheduled to return to Rockwall Adoption Center on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, for his neuter surgery, rabies vaccination, and heartworm test. His adopter must agree to bring him back for these procedures, and this date is nonnegotiable. Roger's adoption fee is $125, which includes his neuter surgery, microchip, rabies vaccination, age appropriate booster vaccinations, and heartworm test. An approved online adoption application is required before scheduling a meet and greet.
