We’ve learned so much more about this beautiful girl, and every update makes us want to get her OUT of the shelter even more. Lark is showing us that she is a sweet, loving girl who simply wants a person of her own. And this girl LOVES to give hugs. She’s friendly, dog neutral, good with cats, and has a lower drive than you might expect from a young Malinois. She is the kind of dog who seems to really want that connection with her person — the attention, the affection, the closeness. She wants someone she can love and trust. She’s looking for her person. Someone who will give her a safe place to land. Someone who will let her decompress. Someone who will give her the time and patience to figure out what life is supposed to feel like outside of a shelter. And just look at her — Lark is looking fantastic. She has already shown everyone how wonderful she can be. Now we need to give her the opportunity to truly relax, settle in, and show us who she is when she isn't surrounded by the stress of a shelter environment.
