All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant. He’s a quiet, kind boy who loves people and most other dogs. He exudes an aura of calm protectiveness, quiet intelligence, and loyalty. Maverick has lived with children, goats, poultry, and other dogs. He is young and can be too rough with things that trigger his playfulness, so if he continues to be a guardian dog, he will need to do so beside humans and dogs who are experienced in helping him learn boundaries with his wards. Maverick would also do fine as a loyal companion, and does not necessarily need animals to watch over. He’s quite connected to people and would love to have that strong bond that guardian dogs create. Maverick is potty trained, walks easily on a leash, and is non-destructive to his things. He’s a very, very good friend and will bring magic and love to any home. Maverick is up to date on DHLPP, Bordetella, Rabies and micro-chipped.
