Adoption fees may be paid by cash or check.  Other:  Spayed Female, Vaccinations current, Microchip ** Wini had an episode of several seizures in a short period of time, while in an adopter’s home. Her bloodwork did not identify an obvious metabolic cause for the seizures. Given her young age and the absence of another identified cause, juvenile epilepsy is currently suspected. She was started on Levetiracetam to manage them. The cost of a 30 day supply from the clinic was $42, at a human pharmacy it is closer to $75, she is also on Phenobarb, the cost is $33 for a 30 day supply, this will vary between clinics and pharmacies. She has had no additional seizures since her dismissal from the emergency clinic. It is recommended that care be established with a primary vet to continue refilling the medication. Veterinary clinics will require annual monitoring of her Phenobarb levels to make sure it is within a therapeutic range. This is typically completed every 6-12 months, but that requirement will vary by vet clinic. Name: Wini is looking for a new best friend! Foster Home Feedback 10/2/26 Foster Feedback: Wini has been seizure free for the last 3 weeks with the help of her medication. The two medications are given on a strict schedule of 8am and 8pm. She prefers her pills in cheese, deli meat if she must. We do watch that she eats it, she is a smart cookie and will spit the pills out if they aren't tucked into the cheese well. Wini is short for Winifred Sanders, from Hocus Pocus. She is just as spicy, sassy and mischievous as her on screen character. She'll even show you a few tricks for a treat. While she has a wild side she is learning that a couch, blanket and a good movie is the right spell for a nap. She presents as a pittie, maybe with a side of mountain goat. Only a DNA test knows for sure. Wini perhaps even knows slight of hand--things suddenly disappear. Watch your snacks and beverages! When she's not practicing magic, she loves a game of fetch, chasing her brothers from another mother and sunbathing on the deck. Wini is a busy body, has a lot of puppy energy and will need a companion that can keep up. We are working on manners and simple commands. She doesn't love the kennel. She goes in fine but fusses a bit at first but settles within a couple of minutes. She does sleep in her kennel over night and is pretty quiet with no accidents. She is working on potty training. She forgets why she is outside and might need solo outs more often. Wini has only had short interactions with children. I think she would do well in a home with older considerate children at this time, at least until she is more comfortable around little ones. Wini is looking for the right family to break the spell in finding her forever home. 8/5/2026 Foster Feedback: Wini is a spunky gal, who has a wicked side eye. She leans on being more submissive but isn't afraid to get in the mix and play with our other foster and resident dogs. Being 6-7 months old, we are working on potty training. She tends to forget that being in the yard isn't just for fun and may need subtle reminders to go potty. She is very food motivated which helps when working on basic commands and manners. Wini is very curious about everything, no food or drinks are safe unattended -especially anything with whipped cream! She may be small but that doesn't stop her from trying to get into things. Working on recall has been helpful to deter her from counter-surfing. She enjoys being outside, typically you can find her sun bathing or chewing on sticks in the yard. She has puppy energy but loves a good snuggle on the couch. She has spent minimal time with children, but does well with them. I would suggest a home with considerate children. If your looking for a bit of spice in your life, Wini is your lady. To view additional dogs available for adoption, please see our website: .4luvofdog
