COMING SOON! Denton was a stray rescued a little over two weeks ago by our good friend Jenny in St Louis, Missouri. He is a pretty chill fellow who does well with other dogs and even consents to play occasionally with a younger pup she is also fostering. He's met a few cats and judging by his friendly and non-aggressive reactions, we think that he could cohabit well with them. Denton seems to really appreciate playing with soft, plushy squeaky toys. He is pretty easy on leash and doing well with house training as long as he is let out frequently. Currently he does not seem to have a potty signal, but he's doing a great job holding it until he gets to go outside. When left at home alone Denton is crated as are most of the dogs at Jenny's house. He can be very talkative, comically so, and he is not shy about getting chummy with people even when first meeting them. He wanted to crawl up in the laps of some the friendly people he met at the vet's office. Denton is heartworm positive and when he arrives in Florida (expected Friday 10/9) he will first need to be neutered, then scheduled for his heartworm treatment probably the first week in November. Denton could definitely be someone's heart dog, so we are happy to consider a Foster To Adopt situation until medical procedures have been completed.
