Mandalorian - Great Pyrenees-Unknown Mix Male Dog For Adoption in Lakewood, Colorado, USA

Dog Breed: Great Pyrenees / Mixed.

This pup will be available to meet starting on 10/3 MANDALORIAN — THIS IS THE WAY… TO THE COUCH. Meet Mandalorian, a 4-year-old, 98-lb Great Pyrenees who has mastered an ancient and highly respected art: doing absolutely nothing and feeling zero guilt about it. Mando is a sweet, easygoing gentle giant who enjoys lounging in the sunshine, contemplating his five-year plan, and reminding the rest of us that perhaps we should all calm down. He’s low energy, relaxed, and would love a home with a yard where he can stretch out, survey his kingdom, and ponder important matters like “Is dinner early today?” He does well with big AND small dogs, is calm and tolerant with his canine friends, and has shown no issues sharing toys or treats. His leash skills could use some patience and practice, but otherwise this massive marshmallow is pretty content just cruising through life at his own speed. Mandalorian arrived as an unclaimed stray, and now he’s ready to trade shelter life for a safe home, a sunny patch of grass, and humans who appreciate the finer things in life: peace, snacks, naps, and absolutely no unnecessary cardio. If you’ve been looking for 98 pounds of calm, handsome companionship, Mando is ready to be your gentle giant. The couch is calling. This is the way They were rescued from a shelter in New Mexico. Meet and greets are by appointment only. An approved application is required to schedule a meeting. Check out our events page for upcoming open adoption events! We have no additional back story or update for this dog at this time. When we do, it will be updated here. This is all the information we have currently. Approved Applicants may make the adoption fee payment by using the link in their approval email. Partial adoption fees will not hold a dog. If upon meeting the dog of your choosing at your scheduled pickup time you find that you aren't a good match, your deposit will be fully refunded. Adoption fees are non refundable once a pet is taken home. Adoption fees include vaccines up until time of adoption, microchip, spay/neuter and 1st 30 days of free pet insurance. We are not affiliated with MetLife pet insurance. (you have to sign up for the insurance or it will not go into effect). Adoption fees help cover the medical care of the animals while he or she waits for a new home, as well as food and transportation costs. These fees help to provide care for the other animals in the shelter or rescue group who may have medical bills that are much higher than any possible adoption fee. The money also acts as a donation to help support the organization as a whole, allowing the group to continue its efforts to rescue and rehome pets. The dogs in our care are fostered in Colorado, Texas, and New Mexico. While all dogs are picked up in Colorado, sometimes transport dates change due to unforeseen circumstances delaying pick up. Breed labels are a "best guess" by a shelter veterinarian and cannot be guaranteed.
