Apollo 7332 - German Shepherd Dog Male Dog For Adoption in Centreville, Virginia, USA

Dog Breed: German Shepherd Dog (medium coat). Adoption Fee: 300.00.

Apollo is a gentle soul who has been through a lot. He is submissive and arrived afraid of people. He is slowly showing his personality as he gets more comfortable, but when he first came into rescue he would pancake from basic things - such as if a school bus drove by. He is house trained and plays with dog toys and not at all with human items so has had free reign in the foster's house. He chose not to go into a crate so sleeps in the same room with the two resident dogs. He eats well and is learning about treats, and loves attention, especially when he sees the other dogs getting rubs. He loves the fenced in yard and gets along with his canine sisters. He is good on leash when heading out for a walk. He is doing better at not pulling to return to the house quickly and is enjoying walks, though is still skittish if there are other people walking towards him. His manners are excellent - he takes treats gently, doesn't try to eat others' food, doesn't beg and is pretty quiet - he is starting to talk some, but doesn't barked much. He is a sweet boy who would love a family who will treat him kindly and gently, with another dog or two to help build his confidence. He would do best in a house with a yard as he feels safe in the house and yard. Apollo is not yet neutered but it will be scheduled once he has settled in. He is up to date on vaccines and preventatives. If you are interested in Apollo, please reach out to his foster at triebihotmail
