Blu Doo - Labrador Retriever-Unknown Mix Male Dog For Adoption in Aurora, Indiana, USA

Dog Breed: Labrador Retriever / Mixed.

Meet Blu Blu is a 4-year-old, very handsome, very BIG doodle who has clearly been loved and well cared for his entire life. He recently found himself needing a new home after a major change in his family’s circumstances. His owner made it very clear that her biggest wish was simply that someone would take good care of him, and that really says a lot about how much she loves this boy. Blu has had a LOT of change recently, so we’re giving him some time to settle in and show us who he is. So far, he is incredibly calm and easygoing for a doodle. He responds very well to his name, Blu, and has been doing great simply coexisting with the other dogs. He doesn’t need another dog to be happy, but he’s perfectly comfortable around them. He has also been around his owner’s grandchildren, although it has been some time since he has been around them. According to his owner, Blu is potty trained, and we’re continuing to make sure he’s got that down in his new environment. He’s also crate trained and has been very quiet and relaxed in his crate. And car rides? Blu is a pro! He jumped right into the car on his own, jumped back out when we arrived, and then basically just stretched out in the back and chilled for the ride. Blu is definitely not the stereotypical crazy, bouncing-off-the-walls doodle. He’s a big boy with a calm, sweet personality, and right now he’s showing us that he’s perfectly happy just hanging out with his people. He may show us a little more energy once he’s comfortable, but honestly, I think he’s going to be a pretty amazing companion. Blu came into rescue with another dog from his family, so we know this has been a huge adjustment for him. But it’s obvious he was loved and well cared for. Now we just need to find the person who is going to continue giving Blu the wonderful life he’s always known.
