Tellerina - Catahoula Leopard Dog-Unknown Mix Female Dog For Adoption in Lakewood, Colorado, USA

Dog Breed: Catahoula Leopard Dog / Mixed.

This pup will be available to meet starting on 10/10 Tellerina arrived as an unclaimed stray, but she’s ready to leave that chapter behind. She’s a wonderful mix of playful and laid-back, loves people, loves other dogs, and is sweet and easygoing with her canine friends. She handles corrections and other dogs being a little ornery without creating any drama. Tellerina has better conflict-resolution skills than some humans we know. She’s good on leash, behaves nicely in her kennel, knows some basic commands, and then there’s her favorite activity: WATER. Give this girl a kiddie pool and watch her little soul come alive. She loves zooming around, splashing, hopping like some kind of spotted land dolphin, and generally making an absolute fool of herself in the best possible way. Tellerina was also a huge fan of our foam day party at the shelter, because apparently if there’s an opportunity to get wet and party, she has already RSVP’d. She’d love an active home with a yard, a kiddie pool for her aquatic nonsense, and some dog friends to share her adventures with. After the fun is over, she’s perfectly happy slowing things down and enjoying some quality time with her people. Tellerina is beautiful on the outside, but what really makes this girl special is that ridiculously sweet personality. She’s ready to trade being an unclaimed stray for being somebody’s cherished best friend They were rescued from a shelter in New Mexico. Meet and greets are by appointment only. An approved application is required to schedule a meeting. Check out our events page for upcoming open adoption events! We have no additional back story or update for this dog at this time. When we do, it will be updated here. This is all the information we have currently. Approved Applicants may make the adoption fee payment by using the link in their approval email. Partial adoption fees will not hold a dog. If upon meeting the dog of your choosing at your scheduled pickup time you find that you aren't a good match, your deposit will be fully refunded. Adoption fees are non refundable once a pet is taken home. Adoption fees include vaccines up until time of adoption, microchip, spay/neuter and 1st 30 days of free pet insurance. We are not affiliated with MetLife pet insurance. (you have to sign up for the insurance or it will not go into effect). Adoption fees help cover the medical care of the animals while he or she waits for a new home, as well as food and transportation costs. These fees help to provide care for the other animals in the shelter or rescue group who may have medical bills that are much higher than any possible adoption fee. The money also acts as a donation to help support the organization as a whole, allowing the group to continue its efforts to rescue and rehome pets. The dogs in our care are fostered in Colorado, Texas, and New Mexico. While all dogs are picked up in Colorado, sometimes transport dates change due to unforeseen circumstances delaying pick up. Breed labels are a "best guess" by a shelter veterinarian and cannot be guaranteed.
