He's also a goof ball! BIO: Winston came from a severe hoarding situation where he was locked in a kennel with three inches of waste. Considering all that he’s a friendly boy that loves people(once he warms up within minutes) and toy. He will also play with other small dogs but is also fine with bigger dogs as well. His only down fall is he does have some separation anxiety so would need to be crated should you leave the house but we think that’s why it’s important to have another dog in the household and you to know how to help him over his anxiety. This boy is so worth the effort. He’s a happy and loving boy and would be great with several children over the age of 9 yrs. Younger than that he might knock them over in his joy of playing or just happy to be a part of a family. Give him a chance won’t you? Our must haves for him are: Fenced in yard Someone that could be home more than not Children over the age of 9yr to play with other another young dog No apartments, high rises of condo this boy needs to run and have fun If you are interested in Winston then please go to our website and fill out our online adoption application, he’s waiting for you. ============== Information for All Dogs/Adopters ============== AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund’s back or get bitten.
