He is a very social boy and always very excited to meet people. He will be your best bud and your friends best bud, can’t beat that can you? He does have some skin allergies that may need to be dealt with but he’s well with the effort. We just can’t say enough good things about this boy and we want nothing but the best for him since he has been in several homes due to no fault of his. Our must haves for him are: Fenced in yard Another young small dog to play with Someone that can be home more than not Someone that will be willing to keep him groomed Sorry no apartments, condos or high rises he likes a fenced yard to run and play in If you are serious about giving this boy a home then go to our website and fill out our online adoption application. We will help with transport to the approved adopted on the understanding the adopter will have to drive the last leg of the transport which is usually 50-85 miles one way. Sorry no West Coast that’s too far to transport him. ============== Information for All Dogs/Adopters ============== AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund’s back or get bitten. If you have questions about this dog, please feel free to contact the foster home at the email address listed on the bio form. They have the most up-to-date information concerning the dog and would be happy to answer any questions about the animal. We cannot adopt into CT, RI, NH, ME, or MA due to strict laws regarding importation of dogs into those states. If you have any issue with this, you will need to take this up with your legislatures. To understand the adoption process through AADR, please review the Adoption Information on our home page. Transportation options are outlined on that page in Step 3. Click this link to apply: .allamericandachshundrescue/apply, it will take you to the application form. Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers who will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast or Midwest. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. Please look for dogs on your coast.
