Bob - Dachshund-Unknown Mix Male Dog For Adoption in Holly Springs, North Carolina, USA

Dog Breed: Terrier / Dachshund / Mixed (medium coat).

Online Adoption Application › *Foster Update* Bob is doing so well! He LOVES playing with the other large dog in the foster home as well as blossom the puppy. He is still shy around humans but is warming up his foster mom. He still is more shy towards the kids but will lick through the gate occasionally. He doesnt show aggression to any humans or dogs as long as he is given his space and patience. He is ok in a crate when we leave the house but will tear things up if too much is in the crate. He appears to have been potty trained previously to being found. He has been doing great with no accidents in the house if being let out often enough. He loves being on the screen porch and I think would stay out there all day if we let him. He's making great progress and I think with a patient person especially if they have a friendly dog in the home he is totally ready to find his forever home! I was rescued by a Good Samaritan and brought into Pawfect Match after being abandoned along with my Brother Bart (just a guess). Pawfect doesn't know anything about my past, my breed or where I came from. I am very scared from all the changes in my life, the new people and sounds. I will need a lot of patience, understanding and decompression time so I can slowly let my personality shine. I am curious about my surroundings but my tail is always tucked and I like to view things from my side eye. :) I've been a good guy as they have tried clipping the darn knots and mats in my hair and I'm so thankful they are gone! The nice vets are bringing me up to date on the things I need and I will be neutered when I'm ready. My foster will update here as she learns more about me and as I start becoming more comfortable and gaining trust. ** The adoption fee is $400, which covers food, vetting, microchip and the spay/neuter surgery performed by a rescue-affiliated vet. All dogs receive a wellness visit and are up to date on shots appropriate for age. Breed and size is Pawfect Match Rescue's best guess and not guaranteed. Please go to .pawfectmatch/animals/search? and search on the dog name to see more photos, browse the profile, and complete an application.
