We will make every attempt to process all applications within 3 business days of receipt. // // Meet Smokey, a sweet, affectionate Schnoodle (Schnauzer/Poodle mix) with a big heart and plenty of puppy energy! Smokey is just under 2 years old and weighs 14 lbs. He loves all people and other dogs, and he’s always excited for a walk, playtime, or the chance to make a new friend. He’s still learning polite greetings, but he’s smart, eager to learn, and responds well to guidance. Smokey is potty trained, walks well on a leash, and sleeps comfortably in his crate throughout the night. He knows basic commands “heel,” “sit,” “stay,” “down,” and “in your bed.” His favorite things include trips to the dog park, bully sticks, car rides and being brushed. He’s equally happy relaxing near you while you work, or joining you for a three-mile walk—with energy to spare afterward! Smokey experiences separation anxiety and is not yet comfortable being left alone. He’s making progress with very short absences, but he’ll need a patient adopter who can provide plenty of companionship and continue gradual alone-time training. Sleeping well in his crate at night hasn’t yet translated to being comfortable alone during the day. This loving, playful boy will make a perfect best friend for someone who can give him the time, consistency, and support he needs to feel secure. He is neutered and up to date on vaccinations. His adoption fee is $300. All Second Chance Dog Rescue dogs are spayed/neutered, are up to date on vaccines and have microchips prior to adoption. Adoption fees vary depending on age of dog.
