Cash 44471 - German Shorthaired Pointer Male Dog For Adoption in Prattville, Alabama, USA

Dog Breed: German Shorthaired Pointer (short coat).

Please note that PAHS does NOT do online adoption applications. You must come to the shelter in person to meet the PAHS pets. Cash is an 8-month-old male German Shorthaired Pointer mix who was surrendered by his owner because the other dogs in the home were unkind to him. He is almost entirely white with black markings on his head and ears, and has a docked tail. Weighing 42 pounds, Cash will likely grow into a large adult dog. He’s extremely playful and will need a securely fenced yard where he can safely run and play to burn off energy. German Shorthaired Pointers are known for their intelligence, high playfulness, and affectionate nature, thriving on human companionship. They are eager learners, vigilant watchdogs, and remain friendly and sociable. Cash’s strong bond with his owner and high energy mean he’ll need consistent mental and physical stimulation to live his best life. Because of his energy, it’s ideal for his adopter to be familiar with the breed and its activity level. We believe Cash would be good with children—probably best with older kids—and with other dogs, though a meet-and-greet would be required if you already have one. Dog/puppy adoption fees are $120. Cat/kitten adoption fees are $75. All pets will be spayed/neutered before adoption; or you will be given a discount spay/neuter certificate to be used at participating vet clinics to help with the cost of spay/neuter. Our adoption fees cover a microchip, microchip registration, deworming, vaccinations (as age and law requires), and a courtesy vet exam at participating offices. Unless otherwise indicated under "special needs" our dogs have screened heart worm negative. *****Please note that PAHS does NOT do online adoption applications.
