Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (medium coat).
Hi there! Iâm Teriyaki, and Iâm here to add a little extra flavor to your life! I arrived as a stray, so Iâve been taking some time to settle in and show everyone what makes me so special. And let me tell you, the reviews are coming in, and Iâve already been called a âperfect little angelâ and a âsuper happy love bug.â I mean, I donât want to brag, but Iâm not going to argue with the experts!
My favorite thing? PEOPLE! Iâm an affectionate, friendly guy who loves making connections with my humans. Iâm also a big fan of hugs, so if youâre looking for a pup who believes personal space is more of a suggestion, we might just be a match. And if you tell me Iâm a good boy? Oh, boy! Get ready for the wiggles and shimmies. Compliments are my love language, and I accept them enthusiastically.
When Iâm not busy soaking up affection, Iâm ready for a game of fetch! I love chasing a toy, bringing it back, and dropping it right at your feet so we can do it all over again. No need to negotiate or ask twice. I understand the assignment! I can walk nicely on a leash, although I might pull a little when something exciting catches my attention. And when Iâm really happy to see you, I may just bounce with excitement. What can I say? Subtlety isnât always my strong suit.
I do have a sensitive side, too. Loud noises can startle me, so I appreciate a little patience and reassurance when the world gets noisy. Iâm also still figuring out how I feel around young children, so a family that understands the importance of thoughtful introductions would be wonderful.
Now that Iâm settling in and letting my personality shine, my friends here are discovering more reasons to love me every day. Iâve got a sweet heart, a playful spirit, excellent hug-giving skills, and enough wiggles to brighten even the gloomiest afternoon.
So, what do you say? Could your life use a little extra Teriyaki sauce? Come meet me, toss a ball or two, tell me Iâm a good boy (I dare you not to smile at my happy dance), and see if Iâm the missing ingredient your family has been looking for. Iâm ready to trade shelter life for a home of my own, and I promise to bring plenty of love, laughter, and happy little shimmies along for the ride!
If this dog has been successful in our play groups it is not a guarantee that a dog will be social with other dogs in their home or in public settings. Dogs are individuals and have personality conflicts, just like us. Play groups do not guarantee that territorial or resource guarding issues will not surface in the home. While play groups do help us get to know the dog's better, once they are adopted their new environments and new relationships will influence their behavior in ways we cannot predict.
