Duke - German Shepherd Dog-Unknown Mix Male Dog For Adoption in Canton, Connecticut, USA

Dog Breed: German Shepherd Dog / Terrier / Mixed.

Duke has his style and charm that will bring in a crowd. He is a sweet boy who found himself abandoned and alone while under the guise of having an owner. He is young at just around 5 months old. He is grateful for the rescue and looking for a family where he can be loved and appreciated. He is a German shepherd mix, and he weighs around 43 pounds. He is going to be a solid and sturdy boy when he is fully grown. It is estimated that he will be a large-size dog of somewhere over 60 pounds. There will be less spare room on the couch, but his family will be trading the space for a boy with a big heart and a lot of love to give. Duke is a docile boy for such a young dog. However, he is willing to join in with other dogs and children for play sessions, hanging around or casual outings in the neighborhood and beyond. All he needs is his place in a loving family and he will blossom. He has not been tested with cats since coming into rescue so it is unknown how he would be with a feline companion. Duke is working on his house, crate and leash training. He is making strides and learning all he needs to know to be a great house dog. He looks forward to having his family help him along the way. Love is in the air when Duke is in your life. Watching him grow up into adulthood will be a cherished experience. With a soft and cozy place to lay his head, Duke will provide all the love to warm your heart. * When considering adoption, keep in mind that dogs thrive on structure and routine. They adjust much better when their owners are committed to providing consistency and stability. The adoption fee for Duke is $500. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees.
