Are you looking for a fulltime supervisor to monitor your every move, double check your floor for dropped snacks, and manage your sleep schedule? Meet Maggie, a 5-month-old tan and black short haired Shepherd mix who is currently taking applications for her forever subordinates also known as family! Maggie is basically 90 percent ears and 10 percent pure potential. Her ears are currently having a fierce internal debate: one minute they are floppy and sweet, and the next, they are sticking high up like satellite dishes trying to pick up alien radio signals or the exact sound of a cheese wrapper opening from three rooms away. She currently weighs 20 pounds and is expected to be a medium-size dog once fully grown, weighing between 30 and 60 pounds.
Maggie is a shy girl with a sweet personality. Maggie is the ultimate team player, getting along with both children and other dogs. Maggie has not been introduced to cats so it is unknown how she will be with them.
Maggie is in the peak sponge phase of life, which means her house, leash, and crate training are all actively in progress. Adopting a puppy like Maggie means committing to the rewarding, slightly chaotic responsibility of
teaching her how to be a good canine citizen. It involves early morning potty alarms, consistent positive reinforcement, and accepting that quiet may mean she is remodeling a shoe. But in exchange for your patience, you get a front row seat to watching a beautiful Shepherd mix grow into a loyal best friend, complete with puppy breath, clumsy play bows, and a wagging tail that greets you like you just returned from a five-year voyage at sea.
If you are ready to trade unbroken nights of sleep for a lifetime of unconditional love, Maggie is ready to pack her toys! Just be warned: once you look into those expressive eyes and see those shape shifting ears in person, resistance is entirely futile. Apply to adopt her today and prepare to never use the bathroom alone again!
* When considering adoption, keep in mind that dogs thrive on structure and routine. They adjust much better when their owners are committed to providing consistency and stability.
The adoption fee for Maggie is $500. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees.
