MILTON - Mastiff-Unknown Mix Male Dog For Adoption in Center Township, Pennsylvania, USA

Dog Breed: Mastiff / Mixed (medium coat).

Milton's story breaks our hearts a little. This big, sweet boy was found near an on-ramp with his leash still on and his blanket lying beside him. His finders believe he may have been recently dumped. We can only imagine how confusing and frightening it must have been for him to end up alone in a place like that, wondering where his people went. But even with an uncertain past, Milton's gentle heart still shines through. He's a little shy when meeting new people, but give him some time, kindness, and a few tasty treats (cheese is definitely a favorite!), and he'll start to warm up. Behind that big frame is a sweet soul who deserves to feel safe, wanted, and loved. We're still getting to know Milton and evaluating how he does with other dogs in playgroups, so we'll have more to share as his personality continues to unfold. We don't know why Milton ended up alone with nothing but his leash and a blanket, but we do know he deserves so much more than that. He deserves a family who will never leave him wondering if he's coming home, a soft place to rest his head, and people who will love him for the rest of his life.Milton is a gentle giant waiting for someone to give him the fresh start he deserves. Could you be the one to show him that he's finally home? If this dog has been successful in our play groups it is not a guarantee that a dog will be social with other dogs in their home or in public settings. Dogs are individuals and have personality conflicts, just like us. Play groups do not guarantee that territorial or resource guarding issues will not surface in the home. While play groups do help us get to know the dog's better, once they are adopted their new environments and new relationships will influence their behavior in ways we cannot predict.
