Dog Breed: German Shepherd Dog / Mixed (medium coat).

Meet Rex, a gentle and affectionate 1-year-old male German Shepherd who is ready to find his forever home! Despite a difficult past marked by mistreatment, Rex’s loving nature shines through. He is calm, shy, and curious, with a strong desire for affection and treats, making him highly motivated and easy to train. Rex is excellent on a leash and responds well to basic commands, showing good recall when called. He is potty trained and enjoys human interaction, especially with women. While he seems dog-friendly, his socialization with other dogs is still being assessed. Physically, Rex is recovering from a tough start—he was very skinny with a severe skin condition and goopy eyes when he arrived. With proper TLC, he is on the path to better health and happiness. Rex would thrive in a patient, loving home that can provide the care and attention he deserves. If you’re looking for a calm, treat-loving companion who will reward your kindness with loyalty and affection, Rex is the perfect match. Come meet this sweet boy and help him blossom into the wonderful dog he’s meant to be! City of Tulsa Animal Welfare Tuesday through Friday, noon to 6pm Saturday, noon to 4pm 918-669-6280
