Meet Ranger - Your New Best Friend in a Blue Merle Package!! Ranger, Oakley, Maverick, and Major are siblings currently with one of our partner rescues in Louisiana. They are awaiting a foster or adopter so they can make their trip to NJ to live their best lives! With his gorgeous blue merle coat, happy-go-lucky personality, and love for affection, Ranger is one handsome boy who is sure to steal your heart! This sweet Australian Shepherd/Labrador Retriever mix has the perfect combination of brains, charm, and goofy puppy fun. Ranger is a friendly, affectionate boy who loves meeting new people and making friends. He's happiest when he's getting back scratches, playing tug-of-war with his siblings Oakley, Maverick, or Major, chasing toys, or simply soaking up attention from his favorite humans. He's playful and intelligent, eager to please, and has a gentle side that makes him just as happy cuddling up as he is enjoying playtime. At around 32 pounds, Ranger is expected to grow to approximately 40–50 pounds. He has a moderate energy level and will enjoy a family that can provide a good balance of exercise, playtime, mental stimulation, and plenty of affection. Like any young dog, he's still working on his house-training and will need a family willing to continue his training and help him learn all the things that come with being a beloved family pet. Ranger gets along with other dogs and is good with children. He would love a home with a securely fenced yard (6-foot fencing required) where he can safely explore, play, and enjoy the outdoors. His compatibility with cats is currently unknown. If you're looking for a sweet, playful, affectionate companion with a little brains and a whole lot of personality, Ranger might just be your guy! Ranger is ready to trade puppy playtime for a lifetime of love. Could that be with you? Ranger is up to date on vaccines and tested negative for heartworm. Ranger has been neutered and has a microchip. His adoption fee is $600. Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through, they deserve a loving, committed home.
