We have no idea where he came from or how he ended up at our rescue, and a search for his owner proved to be futile. While Vance looked big and scary, and having a few scars on his face, he's proven to be a very friendly dog. Vance has been with us for a while due to the slow process in finding bigger dogs a new home. But we've decided to really push for his opportunity to find a new home as he more than deserves that. He is very friendly towards people and hasn't shown any aggressive behavior towards other dogs, but we'd still require a "meet-and-greet" with any dog that he'll share a home with. Over the past few months, Vance has spent time living in the home of Scott Bennett and had done exceptionally well. He's accustomed to staying in a crate and hasn't relieved himself while in it. Since coming to our rescue, Vance has been kept up to date on all of his annual vaccinations, de-wormings and monthly preventatives. He recently tested negative for heartworms and appears to be a very healthy fellow. While Vance has shown some house training skills, he may need additional training once in a new home. Vance has also already been microchipped
