SJR Farm Llewellin Setters breeds to the strong hunting, close working, companion, family dog. Breeding to these characteristics results in the ideal dog being a bootleather dog...i.e., more suitable to the upland hunter who prefers to walk (rather than ride in a "quail buggy"). Llewellin's are a distinct breed of the English Setter breed. Mr. Llewellin bred the originating LS's (see Google). LS's genetics go back to Mr. Llewellin's LS's. Strong hunting stock & champion lines. Sires & dams on site. LS's were also bred to be very biddable, good companions, with a disposition suitable for dwelling in the home or one's kennel.
