I'm a veterinarian in Vermont, and have always had retrievers as pets. My wife and I particularly love our red Goldens because of their intelligence, athleticism, great personalities and beautiful looks. We only have one or two litters a year. The puppies are raised in our home. They have lots of space and grass to enjoy as they're growing. Having a veterinarian as an owner means the health of the parents and the puppies is of utmost importance.
