Some pets are in the Shelter and others in Foster homes. Scroll thru description for contact info!! Or you may email trinitygapclub@gmail.com for pet info! Regan has adjusted VERY well since being here. He just wants to be loved. After spending many weeks in a kennel, I took the chance that Regan just needed to burn off a LOT of pent up energy. Many people judged him as being aggressive, but I felt the only thing wrong with Regan was he needed to be active. Sure enough, I introduced him to our small pack, and he became a completely different dog. Regan's age and breed cries out for activity. It didn't take long at all for him to warm up to our dogs, and began playing with them. He will chase a ball for as long as you will throw it. His perfect home would have another medium to large dog that will play with him, and a doggie door. He does not like cats. I sincerely believe with the right trainer/training, this sweet boy can learn ANYTHING. I am very impressed with him. Someone is going to end up with a GREAT dog. Needs a home with another dog as he is very playful and loves canine companionship!! He is not kennel/crate trained, but IS doggie door trained. (Regan is not good with cats so should be in a No Cat Home!! Also no birds!! Brings out the Pointer instincts in him!!) I am available to any and all questions!! If you’re looking to adopt a dog and don’t know where to start, puppyfinder.com is an excellent source for information about adopting a dog and will connect you with hundreds of shelters across the US that have adoptable puppies and older dogs waiting for forever homes.
  1. Do your research – find out what types of dogs would be a good fit for your lifestyle and the activity level of your family. Also keep in mind the grooming needs of certain breeds that might require frequent maintenance.
  2. Decide what you can handle – before you get sucked in by all the adorable puppy eyes you’re about to see, think long and hard about the appropriate age dog for your family or if you are capable of caring for a special needs dog. Puppies are a lot of work, if you don’t have time for potty training and obedience classes you’ll want to consider an older dog. There are plenty of middle aged, vibrant dogs up for adoption as well as many senior dogs that would be a great fit for a family looking for a more subdued dog with lots of love to give.
  3. Learn about the shelters and their adoption policies – It might be easier to start looking at shelters within a certain radius of home but don’t be afraid to venture out to other states as well. Many states have larger populations of adoptable dogs and their shelters are willing to transport pets to suitable adopting families. Some shelters might have requirements for a home visit, a fenced yard or require you to visit the pet multiple times before you commit to adopting. Understand that the shelters are doing their best to place the pets in suitable homes and these requirements are in the best interest of both you and the pet.
  4. Start looking… Once you know what you’re looking for and what to expect you can start your search through thousands of adoptable dogs. PuppyFinder allows you to search by age, breed, location and gender.
  5. Meet in person. Whenever possible it is best to meet the animal in person before agreeing to bring them into your life. Even though photos and descriptions can tell you a bit about a dog, you can’t get a true feeling for the animal until you are able to interact with them and make sure they are a good fit for your entire family, including other pets.

No idea of his breed but appears to be a wire-haired terrier of some sort—maybe a Cairn?? No matter what breed, he is super sweet and loves to snuggle. At first he is shy but he warms up to you. He loves kids/toddlers and is patient with them. He is not fond of male caretakers , does not bite them just growls and scoots back in the corner while they pet him. He has a medium size crate, food/water bowl, and nail clippers that come with him. He would be a great addition to a family with either no dogs or no large male dogs. Some pets are in the Shelter and others in Foster homes. Scroll thru description for contact info!! Or you may email trinitygapclub@gmail.com for pet info! Rosey Rojo #17005 is a loveable looking Corgi/Staffy mix. Rosey has a gorgeous red coat, cute little wrinkles on her head, perk ears, a long body that reminds you of a corgi, but the face of a Staffordshire terrier. This unique combination makes for a very cute puppy with an awesome personality. She was found on the streets and was ill – Dr. Riley helped her with her symptoms and she received a clean bill of health. Rosey is about 11 months old and weighs 42 pounds. Her foster mom wanted to get her home and love on her before she was spayed. Rosey rode in the car like an angel and is in love with her little human. She made friends instantly with her foster friends (3 pits and 2 wiener dogs). She was not completely housetrained but within 2 days she had mastered the skill and uses the dog door like a champ. Rosey loves her humans and will follow you wherever you go. She is very dependent with human/dog interaction and should go to a home with other animals. She has basic dog manners and does not chew/dig. She had her first visit to the dog park and partied like a rock star – she ran around and met all the dogs, humans, and jumped in and out of the pond to cool her belly. She is so happy to be on the road to finding her new family, she always looks like she is smiling. Rosey is scheduled for her spaying on January 9 and will be available for adoption. Some pets are in the Shelter and others in Foster homes. Scroll thru description for contact info!! Or you may email trinitygapclub@gmail.com for pet info! Sweet Elsa had a rough start in life and was let down several time by several people. She was severely burned on her private area as a young puppy. After coming to rescue and getting the treatment she needed she was adopted a few times and was not given the attention or time that she needed and now has lasting issues but has been with me as my foster for 8 months and has come so far. She is a great dog and loves people very much. She is great with kids as well! She is house trained and crate trained and loves to cuddle. However she can be dog reactive and has been in training for her dog aggression and is doing so great. She does great with my dogs and fosters after she takes time to get use to them. Elsa would do best in a home as an only pet or with someone that can give her time to adjust to the existing pets and knows how to do proper dog introductions. Elsa can jump a six foot wooden fence so she must be monitored when in the backyard or needs an 8 foot fence. She does not go over my fence anymore now that i always have the e-collar on her in the backyard. She responds really well to the e-collar. Elsa is about 3 years old now and weighs about 50 lbs. She is so sweet and does not deserve anything that life has dealt her. She needs a true forever home that will love her as family and give her the attention and care she so deserves. Radar is a sweet lovable girl who is about 2-3 years old. She was a rescue dog found in a home with over 50 additional animals all in kennels. Radar was in deplorable conditions and was stabbed with a knife by her owner before she was rescued. She is extremely loyal and affectionate once she is comfortable with you. She does great with other doggies. Uncertain about little humans because she tends to be skittish from previous abuse and needs gentle attention. She is scared of men with deep voices and is scared by shouting. She thrives around women and soft spoken males. The only behavior issue we have is her running away when she is home with my adult son. He has a loud voice and she will not go near him when I am not there, however she will happily sit on his lap and approach him for treats while I am home. While we love her very much our goal is to find her a home where she is completely comfortable and happy. She is fixed and a healthy dog. She does require toys to chew and play with or she will chew. Scroll thru description for contact info!! Or you may email trinitygapclub@gmail.com for pet info! Magnificent Millie is one good looking babe! She is just a happy dog, and does her happy dance every time you take her for a walk. She is absolutely 100% potty trained and after she goes potty, she does a little dance saying "I am a good girl!" She adores people, and loves to get belly rubs. She is totally kennel trained, and not a chewer. She enjoys treats and rawhide chews, but knows what is hers. Millie is five year old boxer mix, and really in the prime of her life with her best years ahead of her. Miss Millie needs to be an only dog, although she did live with a companion dog in her former home, she does not really enjoy the company of other dogs. As a puppy, Millie was attacked by a sibling, so she is cautious around other dogs, and we recommend her being the only princess in the house. Millie is boarding at Mutt Shack until she finds her new forever home, and is totally vetted, heartworm negative and up to date on shots. If you are looking for a new companion that is already trained and will give you lots of love, please contact stefffeniegaprescue@gmail.com Home visit required! Some pets are in the Shelter and others in Foster homes. Scroll thru description for contact info!! Or you may email trinitygapclub@gmail.com for pet info! Jaxson – I picked up Jaxson and he is a great foster dog!! He gets along well with all of my pack, and learned the doggie door on one try!! He’s a wonderful dog and will make a wonderful pet for some lucky family!! Contact foster dad Bill at youcalltheshots@mac.com for more information!! Jaxson #16975 is from the Carrollton Shelter, and was in danger of being euthanized there before he was transferred to the Euless shelter. That would have been to horrible because this young guy is so special. He appears to be around one year old, and is extremely sweet and friendly. He also loves to play, gets along well with other dogs, and is just a happy boy. Jaxson weighs around 50 pounds, so is a good medium size. He needs some leash training, but is smart, so will learn quickly with some patience. He is neutered and ready to go to his new family for the holidays. Please consider adopting Jaxson because this baby has been in a shelter since September. He deserves a chance at a happy and loving home.
