Posted Breed: Boxer (short coat). Figaro 5 year old fawn male Dog, cat, and kid friendly Basic obedience skills House trained Fostered in Billings, MT Update 7/11/17** Sadly, Figaro lost his soulmate Willow recently; they were a bonded pair that had been together his entire life. You’ll note Willow in most of his pictures; she is the beautiful, silver faced girl. With the passing of Willow, Figaro will likely do best in a home with another Boxer female. He enjoys jumping onto a bed to cuddle up with the kids at night, is easy going and eager to please; he is willing to lounge around inside or hang out in the backyard without complaint. Figaro is active and even getting a toe removed hasn’t slowed him down. He loves being taken on walks and is perfect on a leash. Figaro was protective of his girl Willow, but he hasn’t had any problems with other female dogs or little dogs. This guy is very social and calm—we have not heard him bark. He is very treat motivated and has the sit command down pat. Through all his trials, his little butt hasn’t stopped wiggling. Willow and Figaro traveled lots of miles to get to Billings, Montana from California and were perfect angels the entire way. Luckily, the kids are home from school for the summer and pouring lots of love and playtime attention into his soul. It has helped keep him from grieving too deeply, but he is still looking for her. Figaro loves to play in the yard and will be looking for a buddy to romp with. He and Willow each had their favorite toys. Figaro’s are stuffed toys. He is a pawfully perfect pup that will be an excellent addition to anyone’s family. Location: USA
Posted Breed: Boxer / American Bulldog / Mixed (short coat). Wyona 4 yrs old Female/Spay Bulldog/Boxer mix Dog friendly—prefers males No cats Basic obedience Fostered in Newberg, OR Yep, I am sassy, spunky, never aging, and loved by many. I have short little bulldog legs and all the boxer go, so this gives me a saucy swagger. If you are looking for a gal pal to go on walks, run on the beach, and help you stay in shape, I am a perfect fit for you. I get excited when I am out and about and I feel like I am on a mission so I am learning how to slow down, stop, and window shop. Some practice with me on the leash will get me on the right track. I love to be around people. I am a very happy-go-lucky girl who loves to snuggle. I love affection and will follow you everywhere you go, waiting for that hand to pet me. I’m great with male dogs and play well with others. I don’t bark at other dogs, cars, or people. I don’t jump on people, either, which is a good thing since I have some muscle on me. I know some commands, such as sit, paw, and go get it. I’m house and crate trained. I like the crate, it is safe, secure, and has air conditioning on hot days. If you want a super star dog, you will find that in me. If you have an opening in your home, and think I will be a great fit then fill out an application below. Annaliese 4 Years Old Boxer/Dingo Mix Crate trained Kid friendly Dog friendly (slow calm intros) Fostered in Springfield, OR Annaliese is the sweetest, gentlest girl around. She had a rough go of it before coming into rescue, but she is leaving that all behind her. She will warm your heart, make you smile every day at her goofiness, and oh my, those ears! You cannot help but smile at those dingo ears. She is a loyal and generous little girl, and she will be your best friend forever. She hasn’t had a lot of experiences and is a little tentative when presented with a new situation, but then she jumps right in and starts exploring. She is smart, curious, and a total snuggle love bug. This little girl is a quick learner and treat motivated. She is picking up sit, stay, leave it, down, come, and is improving her leash skills with each walk. She will soon be an ideal walking companion. Posted Breed: Boxer / Bulldog / Mixed (short coat). Scrappy 5 Years Old Kid loving Big dog friendly High prey drive so no cats, chickens or pocket pets Boxer/Bulldog Mix Fostered in Hood River, OR Scrappy loves all people and he gives the best full face kisses. This guy basks in being a champion 80 lb lap dog. On our farm he is a tremendous help—from his photos you can see he is great in the work truck, knows how to inspect the honey bucket as well as framed in walls, he even assists with bed making. Sadly, the big guy was not cared for prior to rescue and has some physical scars he will carry for the rest of his life. We can say that his emotional traumas have not left him scarred, he is the most loving, canine soul around. His hair is growing back from the surgery to remove the masses but the pressure points from laying on concrete in filth are not likely to regrow hair. From the severe confinement, he was weak in the backend, but he has been regaining that lost muscle mass quickly. As such, he now really enjoys a romp with the other dogs and is getting around easily. Being Boxer/Old English Bulldog Mix everyone needs to acknowledge that all that love he gives just oozes out of his jowls. Old English should come with a bib—he is not sloppy until eating, just generous and shares his stuff all over the place. This guy is ready for a furever family, please get the process started by completing an application today, here is the online form link bit.ly/WHBRadopt ww.Wigglinhomeboxerrescue.org Email: wigglinhomeboxerrescue@gmail.com Phone (360) 723-0219

Posted Breed: Boxer (short coat). Chetta 5 Years Old Female Light brindle and white Long tail Long tongue Children over 8 Prefers to be an only dog or have a small dog friend Super playful No cats No birds Fostered in Portland, OR Hi, I’m Chetta. There has been lots of speculation about my name because of my markings and I am super fast like a cheetah. However, my foster mom thinks that may name might be Chedda for Money because I am so awesome. I am a pretty good size for my age and I love to play. If you are a power walker or even a runner I am your gal. I love to go. I will go to the store, to the local tap room, in the car, and even with you to work. I am strong so I need someone to help me with boundaries and some finishing touches. I know sit and paw. I also know how much you like it when I try to get on your lap when you are on your computer. I am working on recall and staying out on the porch. I love my porch. I can watch over the neighborhood and all who try to pass through my kingdom. I will let you know when there is a squirrel in the area. I love to go on walks and adventures, but I need a strong leader. I’d really like to be an only dog (and believe me I have so much love to give you that who would even want another dog). I redirect easily, but I am slightly wary of larger dogs. Having come to WHBR through a rescue, they aren’t sure what happened in the past. My BFF, Sage the Beagle, and I get along just fine. We even share the same bed and will eat side by side. With a few simple commands, I will go back to being an almost perfect lady. My ideal forever family would be willing to work with me, enjoy just hanging out in the yard, allow me to sleep on the couch, and let me have my own bed downstairs. I am NOT an early riser. I get up to go potty when foster mom leaves for work. I go back and lay on my bed and get back up about 10:30am and pretty much lay around. I have energy but I am not anxious. I need to be reassured around other dogs but I know you love me so that helps. I will sleep at your feet on the couch because I eat fish oil pills for dinner and know it wouldn’t be polite for me to breathe on you if I slept on your pillow. I am so eager to please you and love you. I just need some guidance until I get over my insecurity. If you think I’d be your perfect mate, fill out an application today and come visit me on the porch. Are you ready to open your heart and home? Posted Breed: Boxer / Dalmatian / Mixed (short coat). Freddy Boxer/Dalmatian Mix Male/Neutered 1.5 years old No Cats Big dog friendly (especially females) Older kid friendly (I’m young and rambunctious) Fostered in Bend, OR Fearless Freddie here, I am a bouncing, bouncy ball of joy! I’m just the right amount of Dalmatian mixed with Boxer and I’m uber cute to boot. I think of myself as sexy, but Mom says that’s pushing it a bit far, so for now we’ll stick with uber cute. I’m learning a great deal from her. I’m young, energetic and I really want someone to run with me, play with me, and show me how to be called a “good boy”. I’ve been called “bad dog” way too often—I wanna be that “good boy” who will get to snuggle with you during TV time, and who earns a treat or kiss. Foster mom, says I’ve got it in me and we just need to keep practicing—phew, i’m glad she’s helping me out. Do you think we might be able to work on it together? As a gentleman with good manners, I've been allowed free reign of the residence, at least I’ve got that part down. It's pretty cool 'cause I get to hang out on my bed when you are out and about. I’m not a barker, but I do like to run up to the fence to greet or play with peeps and dogs as they walk by. My foster mom says I have great potential and I learn quick for such a young young guy who has been bounced around. According to her, I just need to learn some calming techniques and to work on my heel. She and I agree—I'll make a great running buddy. I’m certain I can help anyone shave a few minutes off their 5K race time. See, I’ve been working on my sprints by playing zoomies in the yard with my other foster sister. The last time, It was going really well til’ I turned a corner too quick and slid straight into the freshly watered garden. My white Dalmatian coat wasn’t so white anymore. I did enjoy the warm bath but I promised mom I wouldn't slide into the wet garden anytime soon. My ideal family will be active, understanding that I am still young. I would love to grow up with kids but mom says older kids, who I cannot topple will be best, I on the other had thinks bowling for kids would be fun. When it’s time to settle in I promise to make a pretty good back rest if they’ll read me stories. Please complete an application today so we can connect for a walk or romp. Apollo

    Breed: Boxer
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Young
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Boxer (short coat). Apollo 11 Months Old Dog loving Kid loving Neutered Male Tolerates cats Fostered in Spokane, WA Hello there! My name is Apollo, but my foster family seems to sing, “you down with O.P.P, yea you know me,” a LOT when I am around; my youngest human sibling calls me “Oppie” I have been told I can steal your heart in just one glance with my stunning eyes--one blue, one brown. I also have that look that says, “love me”. I am very dog friendly and love playing with my fellow fur brother and sister. The very first day I arrived at my foster home, my fur sister and I hit it off immediately! We played in the yard for a very long time with no problems! I am good at taking social cues from other dogs and being the one who does not have to be dominant. I am able to sit, but that is pretty much the only command I am good at every time. However, I would be very excited to attend dog training school and my foster mom thinks I will be very easy to train as I LOVE TREATS and am always looking to please my humans! Have I mentioned how much I love other dogs? My foster mom thinks it would good for me to have at least one other playmate at my furever house because playing with other dogs is one of my favorite things! I also love playing tug-o-war and fetch, though I don’t always remember to bring it back… Here at my foster home, there is a cat. I haven’t decided what I want to do to that cat, but I sure do want to smell it, maybe really hard. If the cat runs, I usually run after it. Lately, though, I have just patiently stared at the cat while he is on the chair. I have been working really hard on listening when my family says, “leave it”. I patiently wait for my food at meal time along with my other fur siblings. Sometimes though, I get really excited that there has been food left on the counter. If it is a cheat day, I have been known to carbo load (which translates into eating a whole bag of hamburger buns in one sitting). I do also love my fruits and veggies though. Whole carrots are awesome for chew toys, and so are blueberries, bananas, and apples! My family also gives me plain greek yogurt (fat free of course) every morning with breakfast! It keeps a boy healthy for all my play time with my friends! Did I mention how much I love other dog friends to play with? Apollo’s foster mom here! What a great dog! For an almost one year old puppy, Apollo has exceptional manners! He does jump up sometimes when he is very excited, but is easily redirectable and this behavior has decreased tremendously in just two weeks. He has been to the vet a few times and is friendly and allows what needs to be done without any fuss. He easily crates at night but would most likely LOVE to sleep with his humans. He is a cuddle bug on the couch at night and settles down nicely during the day when it is time. He does have a tendency to counter surf. I won’t lie, we lost a lovely dinner and dessert while letting them cool without supervision. He listens closely to his cues and is a pleaser. He does get very excited on leash when there are other dogs. He really wants to go meet and play, so he could use some leash skills. He rides nicely in the car and is all around, an AMAZING catch for his new family. I think it is important that he has a fur sibling who will play with him as he is a busy guy and loves getting his energy out playing with his pals! Posted Breed: Boxer (short coat). Petey 3 years old White Male Dog Selective Cat Friendly Basic Obedience Skills Fostered in Spokane, WA Look down. If you want to imagine what life will be like with me, look down. Picture my face right there at your feet. My name is Petey and I will never be far away. Your days of going potty by yourself are over. Going to the fridge? I think it is better if we go as a pair. Going for a walk? Going together is a far better idea and I will gladly walk next to you. You won’t even know I am there! I can entertain myself, but doing things together is much more fun! My energy level is moderate. I am a bit of a nervous fella. Walks help me relax so I can be as patient in my crate as you need me to be. You will be happy to know I come with some pretty awesome basic obedience skills. I am treat motivated so training me is a breeze. I desperately want to please you. Teach me the rules and I will follow them. Learning new things make me happy and help build my confidence. The sky is the limit with me! I have been around cats and have done well. I am dog selective. What does this mean? It means I can’t play or live with just any dog. You can never skimp when trying to find the right roommate. It takes me longer to warm up to new dogs, but once I do, I am a friend for life. I require slow introductions and prefer friends who are gentle in nature. The dog friends I like the most never stare me down or try to dominate me. Those types make my nerves rattle. Since I am so picky about new friends, dog parks are not for me but, on leash walks are right up my alley and I enjoy them immensely! My favorite toys include stuffies of all kinds. Soft toys are so much fun to shake and shake, throw and shake. I am good at fetch for about one throw. I am down for tug-o-war if you think you can handle this mean, lean tugging machine. I play a good game of tug, but I will let you win from time to time just to keep things on the level. Although I like to play, I like the lighter side of life too. Cuddling and kisses are equally enjoyable. In my three short years I have had a rough go of things. I have so much to offer someone who will protect, love and comfort me. I need a little bit of care and guidance and I will give you my whole heart for all the rest of my days. To see me in action, watch my video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aoDdCCcv7zY&t=70s. You won’t be able to resist me after this, I guarantee it! Posted Breed: Boxer (short coat). Iggy 3 Years Old Male/Neutered Fawn Good with kids Natural Tail & Ears Fostered in Helena, MT Iggy is such a handsome young guy who readily seeks your attention and praise. This guy is adjusting and transitioning very well from shelter life to household. He gets along well with our pups and has proven wonderful with my little girl. Mr Iggy is very eager to please his people and very motivated to learn what is right, as it means he gets the attention and treats he craves. Of course, being young and likely on the streets prior to landing in the shelter, we weren’t surprised when he counter-surfed. But, he has thrilled us by easily correcting that behavior. Similar to his lead work, he wants to please you, so he is working very hard on not pulling or marking every bush and pole. To help him be the best he can be, you’ll want to continue this work. We have noticed that Iggy is WAY too intent on our chickens. We’ve been practicing "leave it" but we don’t trust him off lead near them. Iggy would love a large fenced yard to play in. He is great with his basic commands. In our home he has his own room that he sleeps in or stays when we are away. He hasn’t had to stay alone often because someone is usually home or he goes to my office where there is a doggy day care twice a week, which he really enjoys and does well in. Iggy is going to make his furever family a wonderful pet. He has a few rough edges, and yet is so eager to learn and do what is right. He will acclimate to his new household quickly. We have suspected that he may have a grain allergy because of frequent scratching. It could also be residual flea dermatitis coming out of a CA shelter. Regardless, we’ve had him on Costco’s Nature Domain, which is their grain free food, and he is doing better and better. We’re certain Iggy is gonna get matched with a furever family so hopefully you get your application in quickly.
