    Breed: Free-Lance Bulldog
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: English Bulldog / French Bulldog / Mixed. Name: Angel Breed: Bulldog mix (English & Frenchie???) Approximate Age: 2 years old Approximate Weight: 50 lbs Personality: friendly, sweet Observations with Dogs: needs to be an only dog Observations with Cats: good Observations with Kids: good Currently Living at: foster home Meet Angel, our resident bulldog mix! This sweet girl is nervous at the shelter and is happy to be getting out soon. She will need an adopter who is calm and reassuring, as she is slightly shy and takes some time to warm up to new people. But once she warms up, she is quick to crawl into your lap for snuggles! Because she is a little shy, she would do best in a home with kids older than 12. She also needs to be the only dog in the home. If you are interested in adopting Angel, please submit an adoption application at http://dcpawsrescue.org/adoption-info/adoption-application-dogs/DC PAWS Rescue does our best to provide accurate and complete information about our adoptable animals. Please note that we cannot make any guarantees about age or breed; we rely upon our rescue partners and their veterinarians to make those assessments. We also cannot make any guarantees about housebreaking and animal temperament, as animals can behave differently through transition and in different environments. Our shelter partners provide a basic vet screening for each animal we rescue, which includes necessary vaccinations, deworming, microchipping, and spay/neuter (unless the animal is too young or otherwise deemed by the vet to not be a good candidate for surgery). Please note that this is not a comprehensive medical exam and as such, may not identify any and all medical issues, though our goal is to flag any obvious health issues through the basic vet screening. We share all medical records with adopters and flag any known issues prior to adoption finalization. About DC PAWS Rescue Our rescue is an all-volunteer, foster-based dog and cat rescue in the DC area. We rescue from Pickens County, SC (see additional information below), as well as DC local area shelters, such as Prince Georges County, MD and Wicomico County, MD. We partner with a local rescuer in Pickens County, SC, who saves adoptable cats and dogs from the county’s animal control facility, which lacks the resources to facilitate adoptions to the public. Without a mechanism for local adoptions, all animals not claimed within the mandated hold period are euthanized. For the animals in this rural area, rescue is really the only lifeline. Our rescue partner not only works with DC PAWS to save as many dogs and cats as possible, but she has also established a successful spay/neuter clinic in the community to decrease the number of homeless and unwanted animals over the long term. BE A FOSTER: Fosters make it possible for DC PAWS to save and care for homeless, neglected and abandoned animals! To learn about fostering dogs or cats for DC PAWS Rescue, please visit: http://dcpawsrescue.org/volunteer/fostering/foster-application BE A SPONSOR: For any of our animals! Sponsors help us provide critical medical care, food, boarding and other support for animals facing euthanasia. Individuals who sponsor a dog or cat receive special recognition on the animal's profile.  Sponsorships can also be made in honor or memory of a loved one, and you may designate to whom DC Paws Rescue should provide notice of your gift. I'm the cutest mix of French Bulldog and English Bulldog you'll ever see! I'm a super sweet and smart girl looking to find a home where I can be an only dog. I want all of your love and attention for myself! I'm good with all people and kids, so I would be a great fit into any family. Don't let my mean mug fool you, I am the most kind, gentle, loving girl you'll meet! When I am in the home, all I want to do is be by your side and give you kisses. I have so much potential, I aim to please! I go on walks daily and am improving everyday. I pull on the leash right now, but I know the word slow and I am catching on! I don't need a fenced in yard, but would really enjoy one if you have it. I am very interested in birds, squirrels and rabbits and always on the lookout while on my walks. You'll need to hold onto my leash very tight to make sure I don't get away and go on a chase! I also know a number of commands, sit, down, stay, wait, outside, potty, slow, heel, come, get back-see I told you I was smart! I'm housebroken on a potty pad, and I am starting to work on potty training outdoors. I'm so smart that if you work with me, I'm sure I can pick that up, too! I am a quiet girl, only barking to alert my person, I can be your very own guard dog! I would fit into any family; I love my people and I'll be your most loyal companion. I'm ready to find my forever family to give all my love and kisses to, is that you? ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there*** ADOPTION EVENTS: Please understand that all of our pets are in foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please email us to confirm attendance. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/ Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN. All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves. If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications and fill out a foster application. NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets. All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet. All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal. YOU CAN HELP: Not able to foster or adopt right now? Please consider sponsoring an Underdog. Canelo is a 5 years old free lance bulldog. Beautiful and strong dog. Very smart! We are moving and can't keep him because we have other dogs, who are old and have to take them with us. Hate to give up my baby, but I believe I will find a loving home for him.
