Description
Hailey Rose was born 8/30/20. I purchased her at 10 weeks old, for $3,500 including $500 for AKC breeding privileges. I’m only asking a $600.00 rehoming fee & it’s ripping my heart out to do this, but I’m severely ill with no hope of recovery so I must get her into a loving, stable, forever home ASAP! I’ve invested thousands of dollars in maintaining her general healthcare & maternal care! She’s a 5 lb 2 oz, AKC registered traditional Yorkshire Terrier with a gorgeous, soft, blue/silver & tan coat, docked tail & dewclaws removed! After turning 2 y/o, she had several litters, the last came on 11/18/24 & was she an excellent mother! She was spayed on 2/10/25, her teeth were last cleaned on 3/10/25 & she’s current on all her vaccines. She’s paper trained, but while in heat would often mark (which is very normal for intact dogs!) I used diapers for that & she’s very comfortable in them if you chose that route rather than using potty pads. She’s wonderful with humans of all ages, but should be the only small dog in the home, since she is very dominant & has a strong desire to be the leader of the pack. She might not challenge a larger size dog for the alpha role, but it’s hard to say since Yorkies are known for believing they are larger than life!! On the brighter side, she loves playing tug-of-war & fetch. If you’ll toss her favorite toy she loves bring it back & wrestle you for it! She’d enjoy a daily walk, but I’m unable to do it due to my declining health. She has lived with full freedom in my home & never chewed anything up. She has a kennel, but I never close the door on it except during transport- like to the vet or groomer! I do not believe in that type of confinement & insist you use a gated area, where the kennel, a potty pad, food & water could sit inside the space if you felt the need to contain her! She has access & loves free time in my fenced grass & patio backyard. She has slept with me without disturbing my rest, but could also sleep in her own bed.
Items Included: Lifetime Health records. Favorite blanket, bed and toys. Food & treats. New $30.00 harness & a leash. Metal Gate & fencing if needed.

Overview:
The Yorkshire Terrier, affectionately known as a "Yorkie," is a popular small dog breed originating from 19th-century Yorkshire, England, where they were initially used to catch rats in clothing mills. Despite their diminutive size, typically weighing between 4 to 7 pounds, they possess a big personality. Key physical characteristics include a compact body, a small head, and their most distinctive feature: a long, silky, straight coat that is a striking steel blue on the body and tail, and a rich golden tan on the head and chest. Temperamentally, Yorkies are known for being spunky, intelligent, and confident, often displaying a surprisingly bold nature. They are generally adaptable and can thrive in various living situations, making them well-suited for apartment living due to their small stature and moderate exercise needs. With proper socialization, they can be wonderful companions for families, though their delicate size means they are better suited to homes with older, more considerate children. Regarding health, like many small breeds, they can be predisposed to certain conditions such as patellar luxation, tracheal collapse, and dental issues, emphasizing the importance of regular veterinary care and a balanced diet.
