Description
Norma James is a beautiful silver lab! She is looking for her forever home. Born Oct 1, she is Veterinary checked, vaccinated, dewormed and full AKC preregistered. Norma is the pick of the litter. A very sturdy girl with webbed feet for the water. Growing up on the river Ella James (Dam)is my service dog. She helps with my PTSD and anxiety. We do a lot of scent training with different objects. She can get my keys, tv remote, bowl and her leash. Last year she started diving underwater for different objects like bait traps, buoys, and ropes. Bauer(sire) works at a boat marina with his owner. These dogs are very social and calm. I’m looking for a unique, special and loving person for Norma James. That understands the breed and needs. Norma James is ready and located near Watertown, New York. text 315-777-7271

Overview:
The Labrador Retriever, a beloved and highly popular breed, originated in Newfoundland, Canada, where they were initially bred to assist fishermen by retrieving nets and stray fish. Physically, they are medium-to-large dogs, known for their strong, athletic build, short, dense, weather-resistant double coat (commonly seen in black, yellow, or chocolate), and their distinctive "otter" tail. Temperamentally, Labs are celebrated for their friendly, outgoing, and good-natured disposition, making them exceptional family companions. Their intelligence and eagerness to please contribute to their trainability, though they do require consistent exercise to prevent boredom and destructive behaviors. While adaptable, their energy levels make them more suited to homes with yards, or highly active families, rather than apartment living, unless daily extensive exercise is guaranteed. Regarding health, Labs can be prone to certain conditions like hip and elbow dysplasia, and some eye conditions, so responsible breeding practices are crucial. Overall, their loyalty, versatility, and affectionate nature firmly establish the Labrador Retriever as a wonderful addition to many households.
