The Goldendoodle is a popular designer breed, originating in the late 1990s from a cross between a Golden Retriever and a Standard Poodle. Physically, Goldendoodles vary, but typically have medium-length, wavy to curly coats in shades of cream, gold, red, or black. They thrive in active families and, while adaptable, their size and energy levels suggest a preference for homes with yards over small apartments, though daily exercise can make apartment living feasible.
