Temperamentally, a well-socialized Presa Canario is known for its calm, confident, and loyal nature, making them devoted protectors of their family. However, their strong protective instincts and size mean they are generally not recommended for first-time dog owners or apartment living, requiring experienced handling, extensive socialization from a young age, and a secure, spacious environment.
