Our ‘mini’s’ (35-50 lbs) are purebred and FDSB registered. When we use the term “mini” Irish Setter, it’s simply a descriptive term to help families understand that these puppies will mature on the smaller end of the Irish Setter spectrum. They are 100% purebred Irish Setters — not mixed or crossed with another breed. These puppies come from our smaller field/hunting lines, rather than the larger bench/show lines that often mature in the 60–75 lb range. We expect these dogs to mature around 35–50 lbs, with a lighter, more athletic build. In terms of type: • They are athletic and agile, which makes them excellent hunting dogs • Temperament-wise, they are classic Irish Setters: affectionate, social, people-oriented, silly, and great with families • They typically have shorter coats, but still develop the lovely feathering on their legs and tail that Irish Setters are known for. • Coat color is often a lighter red, and some may have a small white star on the chest
