Puppy Description
Puppy 4 is an adorable Gray Female. Her color is a muted black. She is the ring leader. She is always starting the play. She loves to play and loves to play with my grandchildren. We are starting potty training. She will use a puppy patch or puppy pad now, but has not gotten outside down well yet. We have a dog door, so she will be trained to use the dog door and stay in the fenced yard. She just had her second shot and another round of dewormer. She is doing well with socializing with our other dogs. Grandpa isn't fond of her energy (he is almost 10) so she is learning her limits around him. She is doing well with learning to respect the way others want to play. She is okay with baths and being dried with a dryer. Our groomer will be starting nail trims and ear cleanings so that she can get used to the full grooming experience. These pups were born November 15th. Overview:
The majestic Newfoundland is a large, powerful breed originating from the rugged coasts of Newfoundland, Canada, where they were bred to work alongside fishermen. Physically, they are renowned for their imposing size, broad head, and a thick, water-resistant double coat that can be black, brown, grey, or landseer (black and white). Beneath their formidable exterior lies a surprisingly gentle and patient temperament, earning them the nickname "gentle giants." Newfoundlands are exceptionally loyal, intelligent, and famously good with children, making them outstanding family companions. However, their significant size and need for space make them generally unsuitable for apartment living; a home with a yard is highly recommended. Prospective owners should also be aware of common health considerations such as hip and elbow dysplasia, heart conditions like subvalvular aortic stenosis (SAS), and cystinuria. Overall, the Newfoundland is a devoted and loving breed, thriving in environments where they are integral members of the family.
