The Cardigan Welsh Corgi is an ancient and charming herding breed, originating from the rugged hills of Cardiganshire, Wales, where they were indispensable for driving cattle. Recognizable by their distinctive long, fox-like brush tails, they possess a robust, low-set build with a deep chest and sturdy legs, coming in a variety of colors including sable, brindle, black and white, and blue merle. Temperamentally, Cardigans are known for their intelligence, loyalty, and affectionate nature, often forming strong bonds with their families. They are generally good with children and other pets, making them excellent family companions, and their adaptable size allows them to thrive in both spacious homes and apartment settings, provided they receive adequate exercise.
