The Miniature American Shepherd, often affectionately called a "Mini Aussie," is a vibrant and intelligent breed originating in the United States, developed from small Australian Shepherds. Physically, they are compact and athletic, typically weighing between 20-40 pounds and standing 13-18 inches tall, with a striking double coat that comes in various colors, often featuring captivating merle patterns and sometimes blue or amber eyes. Their temperament is generally described as loyal, intelligent, and energetic, making them highly trainable and eager to please. While their smaller size might suggest suitability for apartment living, their significant exercise needs mean they thrive best in homes that can provide ample physical and mental stimulation.
