REHOMING MILLIE AND BEAU

Description

I am seeking the right homes for my dogs, Millie and Beau. Millie and Beau are littermates, approximately 2.5 years old, and are very intelligent dogs. They know several basic commands, including sit, lay down, spin, and shake paw, and enjoy engaging with their people. Over time, they have developed behavioral challenges, particularly when living together, and have recently struggled to coexist peacefully. Because of this, they need to be rehomed separately and would do best as only dogs in calm, structured environments with experienced owners. Both dogs can be vocal and unsettled when unfamiliar people enter the home and require thoughtful introductions and management. Millie may show protective or territorial behaviors when people arrive, including growling and fence-focused behaviors. She has not caused injury to a person. Positively, Millie does fairly well on leash and is generally enjoyable to walk. Beau can be uncomfortable with unfamiliar people and has shown inappropriate mouthy behavior in the past without causing injury. He also does not enjoy leash walking and would benefit from patient handling and training. Due to upcoming changes in my household that will include very young children, I am no longer able to provide the environment they need. Rehoming them is the most responsible option to ensure everyone’s safety and well-being. This decision has been extremely difficult and made with care. I am looking for experienced, adult-only homes that understand dogs who need structure, consistency, and time to settle. Please message me if you believe you may be a good fit.
