Description
These amazing little guys and gals were born January 10th and are now ready to go to their new homes! We own both the dam, and the sire and are offering adoption with full registration rights. Tail is docked, dew claws removed. They have been dewormed every 2 weeks, have had vet exam, and first round of vaccines. Luna was found to have a slightly recessed vulva. From the information the vet gave us, and from what I've researched, they are pretty common in young puppies. They usually correct themselves with the first heat cycle. If you have any questions please let me know, or even contact your vet if you'd like some professional advice before adopting Stella. We have raised our little ones on our small farm, so they are surrounded by a menagerie of animals, along with our small children. We have loved our Australian Shepherds and these pups parents are true, amazing Aussies. Smart, gentle with the children, and overall amazing family dogs! If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me! We do require half the purchase price to be deposited on them to hold a puppy until their pick up date. A gift bag of food, along with their registration papers and vet paperwork will be available to go home with them.

Overview:
The Australian Shepherd, despite its name, actually originated in the western United States during the 19th century, bred primarily for herding livestock on ranches. These striking dogs are medium-sized with a sturdy build, often sporting captivating merle coats (blue or red) and piercing blue, amber, or marbled eyes, sometimes with two different colors (heterochromia). Known for their exceptional intelligence and high energy, Aussies possess a strong work drive and thrive on having a "job" to do, whether it's agility, obedience, or extensive exercise. Their temperament is generally loyal, affectionate, and good-natured with their families, though they can be reserved with strangers. Due to their high exercise requirements and need for mental stimulation, they are best suited for active families or individuals with ample outdoor space and a commitment to training; apartment living is generally not ideal. Potential owners should also be aware of common health concerns like hip and elbow dysplasia and certain eye conditions, including Collie Eye Anomaly (CEA) and Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA).
